Women In The Black Annual Conference
What an awesome time we had Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the 19th Annual Who's The Boss Business Conference. We are grateful to you for lending your business acumen, time, talent, and expertise as you shared your personal stories with 200 strong entrepreneurial driven women, shouting in unison our conference theme: " I am The Boss...I'm a smart woman and money matters in my life." Truly you were “The Boss!” We could not have done this without you, whether it was a roundtable discussion, our celebration circle or commanding the floor with your leading advice and compelling story for our eager participants. The Board of Women In the Black, New York Inc., recognizes your unselfish efforts and overall impact as a game changer.
How to Increase Your Brand Value
Shemeka Brathwaite presented a public webinar entitled "How to Increase Your Brand Value" for the NANBPWC, Inc.'s Business and Professional Webinar Series. This dynamic and energetic webinar was well received by both our Association members, as well as invited participants. Its' success was due to our knowledgeable presenter, Shemeka Brathwaite, who provided participants with a wealth of information on branding, as well as the how-tos on beginning the branding process. Shemeka was extremely hands-on with the planning process and was always available when needed, to discuss webinar details. Additionally, by making her expertise available through resources/takeaways, she has continued to demonstrate true professionalism, which is why the NANBPWC, Inc. would not hesitate to utilize her again. She brings so much knowledge to the table that I could sit all day taking in all that she has to offer. We thank you for all that you have done for the NANBPWC, Inc. and we look forward to many more opportunities.
Owning Your Career and Creating a Personal Brand
In my prior role, on behalf of the "Women in Development" network at Fidessa, I thanked Shemeka for her informative presentation, “Owning Your Career and Creating a Personal Brand” at the quarterly luncheon. We were so fortunate to have had someone of Shemeka's professional expertise and credentials to address the participants and serve as a resource for career coaching and development. Her presentation and follow-up discussion on "Personal Branding" was one of the most well-attended sessions of our guest lecturer series and our members are still talking about it! Shemeka is thoughtful and very well organized. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and we all look forward to reading her book once it's published!

American Bar Association- Women's Networking Breakfast at Waldorf Astoria
Shemeka Brathwaite presented "How to Build Extraordinary Professional Networks to Grow Your Career” at the Fidelity & Surety Law Committee Women's Networking Breakfast at a conference held by the American Bar Association. Shemeka was very dynamic and interactive even at our 7 AM breakfast! She gave helpful information and tips on how to network at a large conference and how to maintain our existing and pursue new professional and personal relationships on a daily basis by carving out some valuable time. Her networking strategies are quite helpful. You will see what I mean if you get an opportunity to participate in one of her training sessions.
